Imodium Instants tablets are used to treat acute (short-lived) attacks of diarrhoea. They melt on your tongue with no need for water, making them especially suitable if you have trouble swallowing tablets or if you need to be out and about. The tablets have a pleasant mint flavour and they may be suitable if you are also experiencing nausea with diarrhoea. It can also be used to treat, following diagnosis from a doctor, diarrhoea associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It is suitable for adults and children over 12 years of age.
Acute diarrhoea; acute episodes of diarrhoea associated with IBS in adults after initial diagnosis by a doctor
Adults and children over 12 years: 2 tablets initially followed by 1 tablet after every loose stool as needed. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets
White circular, orally dispersible tablets containing loperamide hydrochloride 2mg
