SOLPADEINE PLUS SOLUBLE

Soluble tablets

For Adults (including elderly): 2 tablets dissolved in a full glass of water may be taken up to 3 or 4 times a day if necessary. The dose should not be repeated more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not take for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor.

Not to be given to children under 12.

Do not use for more than 3 days continously without medical review.

Effervescent white tablet containing: Paracetamol 500mg, Caffeine 30mg, Codeine phosphate 8mg.

Not to be given to children under 12. Please see your doctor before you take Solpadeine Plus Soluble Tablets if: you are taking Metoclopramide or domperidone (for nausea and vomiting), You are taking colestyramine (treats high cholesterol). You are taking medicines prescribed for depression (MAOIs). You have severe liver or kidney disease. You are taking anti-coagulants (drugs to thin the blood e.g. warfarin) and you need to take a painkiller on a daily basis over a long period. However, you can take occasional doses of Solpadeine Plus Tablets.

If your headaches become persistent, see your doctor.

Do not use for more than 3 days continously without medical review.

If you experience skin rash or other side effects report to your doctor or pharmacist. Paracetamol taken in high doses may effect the use of metoclopramide, domperidone and anticoagulants including warfarin. Codeine may cause constipation.
